- Translucent Roofs
- A major benefit of fabric buildings is natural light. Even on overcast days, our tension fabric structures are bright through every cubic foot. Furthermore, those who occasionally use their buildings at night can get by with minimal lights or portable work light thanks to the reflective white underside of the fabric.
- Durability
- When it comes to corrosive environments, fabric structures provide a tremendous advantage over buildings with steel sheeting. Our hot dip galvanized framework and polyethylene fabric are virtually unaffected by salt, fertilizer and other corrosive materials.
- Controlled Environment
- Legacy fabric membrane buildings are weather-tight and moderate the outside temperature, keeping the interior cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. With no nails or screws penetrating the roof, there are no locations for rust to start and no holes that can later become leaks. Our buildings also offer superior ventilation, keeping air fresh when used for housing livestock. Additionally, the steel framework and fabric membrane don't lend themselves as homebuilding materials or feedstock for birds, rodents and mold.
- Flexibility
- A fabric structure is an economical solution for a large clearspan building offering tall overhead clearances. From riding arenas to recreational structures to event facilities, fabric structures provide an attractive look and plenty of space for equipment, activities or the general atmosphere of openness. Insulated tension membrane structures deliver superior acoustic qualities, as well as being energy efficient.
- Most fabric buildings can be installed on a variety of foundations. Options are as diverse as shipping containers, screw piles and cast-in-place or precast concrete. While not all foundations are portable, every Legacy building is. Our tensioned fabric structures are engineered to be permanent, but can be easily relocated. This is particularly useful if a building is on leased property or when a customer knows the structure will be moved in time.
- Economical
- Although our fabric structures are all customer specific, we offer aggressive delivery timelines and fast installations. A typical 120' by 200' building can be erected in about seven days. Our in-house crews have installed more than 25 million square feet of tension fabric buildings. We work hard to install your structure quickly and exceed your expectations.
While we can offer a variety of fabric buildings to fit different needs, we only sell buildings we have 100% confidence in. There are cheaper, smaller buildings on the market. Conversely, we are often a lower cost alternative for wide, clear span structures.
