The Legacy team offers an in-house engineering, drafting, and design department. This allows us to be your one stop for all your project requirements—from foundation design through final walk-through. Our Director of Engineering has over 25 years experience, is currently registered in 17 states and can provide innovative solutions for your building needs.
We use cutting edge metal building design software to design our rigid frame fabric structures. Our frames are also often called three plate frames, tapered section frame and tapered member frames. Our engineering is very thorough and we always account for fabric pressure, or fabric tension that is applied to our frames. All of our fabric structures are designed to meet the standards set by the International Building Code (IBC) and principles enforced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
From listening to our customers, we have found there is a wide variety of engineering amongst our fabric building competitors. We are confident that many of them do not even include fabric pressure or seismic forces into their calculations. We are very willing to share with you the weight of our fabric structures so you can compare for yourself.
