Legacy Building Solutions combines decades of experience with an uncompromising vision for innovation to provide the very best technology the tension fabric building industry has to offer.
The rigid frame of a Legacy structure allows unlimited design options. The length, width, sidewall height and peak clearance are custom engineered to meet project specs and maximize the footprint. Add architectural features and accessories for optimal efficiency and creative building designs.
The straight wall design accommodates any number and size of doors on the building frame, from man doors to large MegaDoors. Add multiple doors for safe access and egress by personnel and equipment. Jack beams or spreaders create wide openings for large doors and access points.
Fabric structure endwalls range from open to fully enclosed. Construct endwalls with one or more fabric colors, printed graphics or alternative claddings such as steel, brick, concrete or glazing walls. Endwalls may also contain penetrations for conveyors, ventilation systems and doors or windows.
Overhangs add a variety of practical and aesthetic options to fabric structures. Use overhangs and canopies for protection from rain and snow or as the basis for a complete water management system. Overhangs may be open, mesh or vented to to add an air intake system the length of the building.
Properly finishing fabric around corners, doorways, fenestrations and at termination is critical to fabric longevity and building appearance. Termination may be at, above or below ground level. Our patented keder attachment system separately tensions each roof panel to protect the fabric cladding.
Fabric structures on a rigid steel frame rely on proven engineering principles. PE or PVC fabric roofs are available in several colors. Roof customization options include pitch, graphics, insulation, skylights and additional loads from solar panels and other collateral systems.
Collateral loads, including mezzanines, conveyors, catwalks and cranes may be suspended from the building frame to keep them accessible. Point loads for ancillary systems such as lighting, climate control systems and ventilation are safely added anywhere on the building roof or walls.
Protect the area next to your fabric structure with overhangs, icebreakers, gutters and downspouts. Control the flow of water and break up large pieces of ice and snow before they damage the area around your building. Canopies are available to shield doorways and openings.
LINERS AND INSULATION
Provide a climate-controlled interior with batten insulation in combination with an interior liner. The liner also magnifies the light available inside the building, reducing the amount of electricity needed. In corrosive environments, adding a liner seals the building frame away from the corrosive elements.
SIDE WALL OPTIONS
Customizing the side walls of the fabric structure creates options for durability and accessibility. The rigid frame creates straight side walls to any height. Side walls may be customized to include alternate wall cladding, concrete bays for bulk storage, and large or multiple doors for safe and easy access.
Steel frames and secondary members are manufactured onsite. Choose primed or painted steel components, or hot dip galvanized for corrosion protection. All frames are manufactured to code using flange braces and secondary bracing rods to deflect loads and ensure a long-lasting building.
Ventilation and airflow maintain a dry environment inside the fabric structure and increase occupant comfort. Use mesh soffits and peak vents to provide simple gravity ventilation, or choose powered fans, negative pressure systems and louvers to provide active ventilation, air turns and odor control.
