Fabric Industrial Warehouse Buildings

Legacy Building Solutions offers numerous fabric building options for cost-effective commercial warehouse buildings and industrial storage.

Large or small, a fabric provides optimal space and functionality. Fabric warehouse buildings on a rigid steel frame are sturdy enough to handle multiple specialty loads – including loads from the stored material, associated handling equipment such as bridge cranes, conveyors and catwalks, shipping and receiving equipment, and personnel needs.

Fabric warehouse and industrial buildings are often used for additional cold storage space. However, our rigid steel frames are engineered as needed to support a full HVAC load for climate-controlled storage in any environment. Insulation and lining are also available to control the temperature and conditions inside the manufacturing and light industrial building.

Design-build engineering results in a fabric warehouse building created for your exact needs. Our engineered fabric structures are customized to your exact clearance specifications at every point, including a narrow fabric building with very tall side walls or a commercial structure with extremely tall peak clearances.

If trying to fit the building into a tight or odd-shaped lot, we will create a fabric structure with corridors and side wall connections, or even offset peaks to accommodate off-center hanging loads, lean-tos and more.

Architectural fabric warehouse buildings are easily adaptable to meet a variety of operation needs. Our engineers and consultants have experience creating light industrial space, multiple storage and picking options, and various loading dock options. During the construction, you’ll have the option to over-engineer for possible future roof loads and other factors that results in greater flexibility.

Customization also results in warehouse building options for storing sensitive materials. Fabric cladding can create an airtight envelope for protection from the elements, and even greater comfort for workers inside the structure. Alternatively, add one of several active or passive ventilation options to create a cost-effective environment for stored bulk materials.

Natural light permeates every inch of a fabric warehouse building through the walls and ceiling. On a sunny day, a fabric building is bright enough to work without additional electric lighting. On overcast days or at night, the interior fabric reflects the light, minimizing the artificial lighting needed. You’ll save money on lighting costs, as well as time lost due to maintenance.

The translucent roof may be complemented with traditional material on the fabric warehouse building sidewalls such as stone, brick or steel to form a hybrid fabric building that provides the best of both worlds. Concrete walls are a popular choice for fabric warehouses – building up a concrete foundation wall allows for additional loads for bulk storage.

There are several options for protecting the steel frame of a fabric warehouse building. Hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel provides the greatest protection against corrosion. The steel frame may also be gray or red primed or powder coated in any color.

Most of our warehouse buildings are intended to be permanent, but they can be relocated for temporary warehousing such as a leased property or temporary storage. PVC or PE cladding is lightweight and cheaper to ship than conventional building materials.

Legacy is committed to short construction times and low-maintenance buildings – allowing for a fast return on investment. Let us focus on the building while you focus on your business.
