The Rundown

These salt storage buildings were designed to prevent corrosion to the building and stored equipment – including hot dip galvanized steel members, purlin caps and solid steel bracing rods. Both buildings are identical in size, but were designed as separate projects with distinct budgets and timelines.

Customer Success

“The salt draws moisture in, and everything corrodes. With the airflow in this building, we’ve seen a reduction in corrosion on the equipment we use in operations and store in the building, as well as in the building itself.”

Joe Barrett | Barrett Trucking

“Our salt is delivered by rail cars to a large pit next to the storage structure. A conveyor system hoists it from pit to building. Legacy was the only company we talked to that could supply trusses strong enough to support the conveyors.”
